In 2026, we’re showcasing what’s new, what’s next and what could redefine the future of wellness — with a lineup of standout ingredients launched no earlier than Jan. 1, 2025.
This fast-paced, live competition will focus the industry’s most talked-about health categories. Three finalists in each category — selected by SupplySide Supplement Journal and Food & Beverage Journal editors — will pitch their ingredients to a panel of expert judges and a live audience.

How it works
Step 1
Complete the application form by September 25, 2026
Submit your ingredient:
Step 2
The SupplySide editorial teams will review the applications and select three finalists for each category. If you are selected as a finalist, you will receive an email with further directions by October 12, 2026. Your ingredient will be featured with our other Ingredient Idol Finalists on SupplySide Supplement Journal or SupplySide Food & Beverage Journal.
Step 3
As a finalist, you will pitch your ingredient in front of the Ingredient Idol judges as well as a live SupplySide Global audience. You’ll have just three minutes to pitch your ingredient and then the judges will get three minutes to ask questions. After hearing from all the finalists, the judges will deliberate and select a winner.
Step 4
A winner from each category will be chosen by the judges. But you will also earn the chance to win the People’s Choice Award based on the loudest applause from the audience.
Step 5
Winners will receive a trophy, a feature in SupplySide Supplement Journal or SupplySide Food & Beverage Journal, and bragging rights for a full 365 days!

Yes. Someone from your team must provide a short pitch to our panel of judges on the Innovation Stage at SupplySide Global. Your pitch will also be judged by the live audience for the “people’s choice” award.
Yes, but you will need to submit two different submission forms.
Yes. The more information you can give us, the better. Your submission form is your chance to persuade the SupplySide editorial team why your ingredient is better than all the other new ingredients on the market. Show us.
